The Good Design Award, organized by the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization is Japan's only comprehensive design evaluation and commendation system. Having built a foundation to nurture Japan's industry and design, the Good Design Awards now accepts submissions from around the world and has earned a reputation for being a prestigious showcase for manufacturing innovation and outstanding design and quality. The Active Storage XRAID™ received the Good Design Award for networking products.

The Active Storage XRAID™ is a powerful and compact high-availability RAID system delivering up to 16TB (Terabytes) of storage in stylish chassis occupying only 3 units (3U) of rack space and featuring an industry-first simplified setup and native Mac OS X management suite of utilities, and an unmatched out of the box ease of setup for even the most complex media optimized Xsan or multi-server installation in a matter of minutes.

Pricing and Availability
Active Storage XRAID™ systems are sold through selected VARs and Resellers. The 16TB redundant controller model carries a retail price of $14,999. The 16TB expansion system retails for $12,999. Both systems are completely tested and ready to use out of the box. They offer redundant power and cooling, a remote management software suite and all rack mounting hardware.
