Active Storage Announces Delivery of MacIT Storage Session at Macworld Conference and Expo 2009

January 5, 2009

Active Storage, Inc. today confirmed that CEO Alex Grossman will deliver a session titled "Complex Storage Deployments in Two Minutes" as part of the MacIT Storage Track at this year’s Macworld Conference and Expo. Session IT852, until now only known as the ‘Special Announcement Session’ will be held Friday, January 9th, 2009 from 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM and feature Alex Grossman, CEO of Active Storage, Inc., and is open to all registered Conference attendees.

Mr. Grossman will also take part in the Q&A Session to close the Storage Track, Session IT872 ‘Q&A With Storage Track Speakers.’

The ActiveRAID has been referred to as the next evolution of storage for Apple users. Featuring an industry first native Mac OS X management suite and an iPhone monitoring app, the ActiveRAID eliminates the complex and cumbersome scripting other systems require to deliver optimized performance in Xsan and complex Apple server deployments.

In the morning session Mr. Grossman will demonstrate how this new technology allows simple configuration in complex deployments, and reveal the science and engineering behind its seemingly ‘automagic’ optimization and ease of use. By the end of the session attendees will have a good understanding of how modern, self contained RAID systems can be easily deployed today and expanded in the future, increasing the productivity of installations without laborious, ‘trial and error’ user testing and tuning.
