Active Storage Announces Active Stats, Dynamic New Media SAN Monitoring Software Tool
April 12, 2010
Active Storage, Inc. today announced Active Stats – the first complete and easy-to-use SAN monitoring tool for Apple Xsan and Mac OS X. Active Stats is a powerful diagnostic tool providing an aggregated view of an entire media SAN, reducing the complexity and information overload of manually calculating overall performance from individual components.
Active Stats helps take the guesswork out of finding performance bottlenecks in your SAN – allowing you to monitor not just a LUN or single RAID –- but entire Pools of disks across multiple systems, RAID controllers, ports, servers matching the customers deployed configuration.
With a single click, users can see critical information about the health and status of their SAN, such as Throughput, Controller Utilization, Latency and Cache Hit/Miss ratio. With this critical diagnostic information a SAN Administrator can quickly track down a bottleneck, and help guide possible configuration and purchase decisions.
The Active Stats application will debut at the Active Storage booth at NAB 2010 in Las Vegas, NV, from April 12-15. Beta versions will be available in May 2010.
