Active Storage XRAID users–from the simplest direct Xserve attached configurations to the most complex Xsan deployments–can now take advantage of greater performance and deployment flexibility with the availability of double the RAID controller cache memory size for a total of 4GB per RAID controller. By breaking the traditional 2GB cache limit per controller and creating new optimized configuration profiles that utilize this extra memory space, users can achieve lower latency and improved caching routines which can improve overall throughput.

The Active Storage XRAID’s advanced architecture and modern LINUX based RAID kernel have allowed us to quickly enhance the systems capabilities to meet the demands of our customers growing needs. Existing customers are not left with empty promises as their systems can be easily and cost effectively upgraded with a simple memory change and a software update.
